This past week, I posted about some of my earliest childhood memories for Thursday’s Thoughts and, while reviewing Serendipity last night, I mentioned how growing up as a rather mischievous child of a more perfect Catholic mother helped me to relate to Carrie’s character. This morning, after I finished getting ready for work, I found Danny and Allison at his computer looking at the baby pictures he scanned of me for the slide show he put together for our wedding reception. [As a side note, my mother, who doesn't get emotional that often or that easy, cried when Danny was demoing this the day before the wedding. I didn't see her reaction then, but just thinking about that makes me get a little verklempt.] Allison loved looking at the pictures and I am going to have to own up to the fact that her spirit is a lot like mine. Anyway, as another surprise, Danny zipped those pictures up and sent them to me. They were waiting for me when I got in to work. What a fun surprise and I thought I would share them with you.

How unbelievably cute, Jennifer! I especially love the one with who I’m assuming is your baby brother. You definitely look ready to live up to your mischievous tales there.

Yes, that was my baby brother there. What’s really scary is that Allison has that same look and it is really only then that you can tell by looking at her that she is my daughter.
Thanks for sharing these great pictures with us. I love the one where you have your brother in a headlock!

HA! That wasn’t even my brother. That was my mother’s best friend’s daughter. Seriously, I was just overzealously hugging Shannon there. I’m not that bad. LOL!
Oh how precious! I think I have at least one picture of me when I’m doing something to one of my younger siblings
My brother might look at that picture and claim to have been but an innocent babe, but the truth is that he was an interloper. I’ll be interested to see how his son reacts when their second baby is born this summer.
you know, I think that last picture has you looking more than mischievous. what adjective falls between impish and demonic?

Come on! Whose friend are you here? LOL!!!!! Seriously, my 4 year old has that exact same look. I’m in for it!
argh. these pics have renewed my dismay that my mom misplaced our copies of the picture of my cousins and me (and maybe my little sister?) on Grandpa’s lap while he read us a book. she swears she knows where it is (and the copies she made for us), but we have yet to see evidence of that.

Oh, I would love to have a picture like that. I have one of my great grandpa reading a newspaper in his favorite chair that I just love. I hope that your mother remembers where she put that.
I loved the pictures! Thanks for sharing!
I laughed out loud at that last one with its caption. Thanks so much for sharing these!
These are great! I’ve got some equally “mischevious” ones of me from around the time when my brother was born… and one where I’m holding him up for our Christmas Card and look like my legs are going to buckle (he was a FAT baby).

Those pictures are classic! My goodness, your parents look so young! I guess my mom was 21 when she had me, but in my eyes they don’t look young, they’re just my parents! I love the one of you on the hippity hop or whatever that thing was called. I think I drove my mom to drink hopping on mine in the house!
Great photos…thanks for sharing with us!
Your poor brother…after that headlock, did he turn out okay? I’m glad I was an only child, though I did have a older cousin that would drag me down the hallway by my hair =( Amazingly enough, I still talk to her =)

Your parents look like kids themselves!! My mom was only 18 when she had me but I never thought about her as being super young. I love that last picture.. ” heee heee how can I torture this kid today?? ” Thanks for sharing your pics!
Dare I say that your Dad was a hottie? And your devilish last pic is hilarious! Thanks for sharing these.
