Looks like an interesting book! It reminds me of the memoir "The Unheard" by Josh Swiller, a Peace corps volunteer (in Africa) who happened to be deaf also. Definitely a human being also just trying to do his/her best to help out.

You and your "Dutchness" made me laugh this morning! Booking Mama sent me her copy of this book and I can't wait to read it since I just love memoirs.

Ha! When the Dutch came to Orlando for the World Cup back in the 90's, they had a banner that had that saying on it that was HUGE (like covered 10 sections of the bowl). I will never forget that. Anyway, I love memoirs where the writer doesn't take themselves too seriously. Even if bad things are happening, it keeps the reader from wanting to jump off a tall building. I think maybe I've won this book from someone recently, and I can't wait to read it!
