Last year, Libby Cone, the self-published author of War on the Margins, sent me a copy of her novel for review. I really enjoyed reading about the impact on World War II on the Channel Islands and how the people found ways to resist the Nazi occupation. Here is a link to my review. I read this novel before I read The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society and it really helped me get a better grasp on the Channel Islands and what happened there during WWII. Between the two novels, I feel like I’ve been to Jersey and Guernsey.
I just got an email from her today letting me know that her novel has been picked up by a British publisher, Duckworth. It will be released in hardcover on July 23. I am so excited for Libby. She also sent me a this copy of the new cover. Isn’t it pretty?
I read and reviewed this before the beginning of the Serena and Anna’s War Through the Generations Challenge began, but I would highly recommend it to anyone else participating in the challenge. The paperback version I read is no longer available, but you can sign up for an alert on Amazon.

Thank you for posting about this book. I wrote it down in my reading log. I just finished Potato…for a Book Tour coming up and absolutely loved it. I will definitely purchase War on the Margins. I have a WWII course in August that I am getting psyched for.
Take care…Wisteria

It was so great when she informed us of this development over at the War blog. I’m happy for her.
