I love reading anything about The Tudors. I'm going to write those two books you have on my wishlist. I'm going to start reading The Other Queen by Philippa Gregory really soon.

The sad news is that I didn't get to read this on my lunch break either today or yesterday. Yesterday a co-worker needed to vent and it's always more important to be a good friend than read. Today we had a meeting with the auditors that were in town (BLAH!). This will be what I read on the drive when I'm not driving. Plus, I'll have time to read tomorrow while I'm getting the oil changed, etc...

Valerie ~ The Virgin Queen's Daughter does have a similar story line. This book is not from Elizabeth's perspective, however.

Dev ~ The little that I was able to read has been good so far. I think my time away from the Tudors has made my heart grow fonder. LOL!

I have "The Virgin's Daughters" too and am having a hard time putting it behind some other books that need to be read first. I was getting sick of Tudor stuff, but I think I'm read to go back, because this looks so good!

You'll have to let me know about "The Virgin Queen's Daughter." I had the audio from the library, but never got to it before it had to be returned.

Oh, and for a good book about Elizabeth, try Jean Plaidy's "Queen of This Realm."

Hope you enjoy those books! Is "the Virgin Queen's Daughter" based on the same controversial storyline that is also in Alison Weir's "the Lady Elizabeth"? You know what I'm talking about, but I didn't want to reveal anything to those who have not read either book.

Now that you mention it, I can't think of a book that centers around Elizabeth I in which I liked her. Weird. I never thought about that before!

I have this one waiting for me at home....I'm hoping to get to it soon because it sounds really good and I love me some Elizabeth! The best I've read about Elizabeth was by far I, Elizabeth by Rosalind Miles.

Looking forward to your reviews Jennifer! Have a great family trip!
