In the past 24 hours I’ve found out that my blog has been nominated for three Book Blogger Appreciation Week nominations:
- Best Book Club Blog
- Most Extravagant Giveaways
- Best General Review Blog
I am so excited and honored. I can not thank all of you enough for your votes and/or support over the past two and a half years.
I’m now working on selecting the posts I would like the committees to highlight when determining who will make the short list for each category. As everyone was tweeting about last night, this is difficult! Okay, maybe not so much for the giveaways because I know what I consider to be my most extravagant ones. Otherwise, wow! I want to put my best foot forward because I know I have the most dedicated and talented competition.
It’s not just my nominations that I’m excited about – I love catching glimpses of other bloggers’ joy over nominations and support of other blogger’s nominations on blogs, Facebook, and Twitter.

That ol’ BBAW feeling is coming back. I’ve got to thank Amy (you, My Friend, are still our queen!) and all of those who have been instrumental in making this all happen. I know that people are putting in countless hours into making BBAW another special week this year. I’m looking forward to getting to work on my little piece of the puzzle as well. I love being a part of this community.
Not all noms are out yet, so who knows? You may be getting more!

Well, you deserve them all! I have gotten three so far too (Best New Blog, Best Review, and Most Chatty..haha). I sat there last night stewing and obsessing over which posts I select for evaluation. I will be forever second guessing myself.

I know when movie stars say that they are thankful for the nomination I never believe them, but in book blogging, a nomination means that you’ve made it. At least in my eyes it does! LOL.

Thanks so much, everyone! I agree with Ti about how getting nominations – regardless of being short listed, etc. – means you’ve made it. Most of all, it just reaffirms how much we are all part of a larger community. I can’t wait to see who is short-listed for which categories and living the BBAW week. If only I could take the whole week off!
