Dang! Its British? It sounds so cute, but I really do not like British books. Or I should say I haven’t found one yet that I did like. Its a shame. I do think its the language. Just that slight difference.

I have this one as well and have been about half way through it for the past few months. It is gorgeous and thoughtful when you’re reading it, but not much ever happens so when you put it down there really isn’t a compelling reason to pick it back up.

Guilt! The author sent me this book way back when, early summer I think. I’ve tried starting it twice, and haven’t made it past the first 50 pages. I’m not sure if the problem is the prose, or the fact that I’m distracted by something else. I just feel horrible though that I’ve let it sit this long. I’m thinking that this should be my plan…in the TBR Challenge next year, only read ARCs that have been sitting. I bet I have 12 in there somewhere that would qualify. Thanks for the great review! You’ve re-inspired me to try again.
