Today is “The Neil’s” birthday!
Here at The Literate Housewife Review, we wish Neil Gaiman the happiest of days. I have only read two of his books as of today (The Graveyard Book and Neverwhere – review coming Friday). I’m looking forward to even more in the month ahead.
In celebration of this momentous day, two lucky people who leave a comment within the next 24 hours wishing our man of the month a happy birthday will win a Coraline bookmark (see prizes post) as well as a hand made “WWND” (What Would Neil Do) bookmark that I’m making. I don’t have the prototypes completed, but I think they’ll be appropriate for the author and subject matter. LOL!
All those who leave comments on this post can also enter for the big drawing (again, see prizes post) at the end of the month. The code is N&B-HB.

I send Birthday wishes to Mr. Gaiman. I am looking forward to your review on Neverwhere.
Oops forgot to mention the cake in the picture is awesome!
Happy Birthday Neil! I love your bookmarks, so please enter me!
Happy Birthday, Neil!
What a very intricate cake. Is this one you made? If so, kudos to you!
Happy Birthday Neil! I love all your books, well all the ones I’ve read. I’m currently doing the Dream King challenge and just read the book of short stories called Smoke and Mirrors (love it) and am currently reading The Graveyard Book. Just picked up the first Sandman at the library. Nevewhere is still my favorite because it was my first.
Happy Birthday, Neil!
PS: Love that cake!
Happy Birthday Neil! And I agree – the cake is fantastic!
Hap Happy Birthday! I love people who are so creative with fondant!
The Graveyard book sounds very interesting! (have I used enough ! points?)
Don’t you wonder what Mr. Gaiman does to celebrate his birthday?! I hope it’s a happy one. I do love his work.
First of all, what up with that cake???? Very very cool! Happy Birthday Mr. Gaiman! Thank you for bringing us the “other mother” (a term I love to use at the right moment in my house) and Bod!
OK, so here is how much of an idiot I am. Yesterday I had to go to the park to sign my son up for tackle football next year. I knew it was first-come, first-serve, so I got there early, prepared to sit and wait, so I brought my book (a true crime ARC I was loving). I got so wrapped up in the jostling for my place in line, that I left the book and one of my beautiful bookmarks with it at the park. When I realized what I had done, I raced back to the park, but it was gone. Guess somebody else likes true crime besides me. Long story short, I would love to replace my lost bookmark!
ooo! Yes, i remember you mentioning that today is his B’Day!
Happy Birthday Neil! Because of Jennifer here, I have hunted your book down for me! I hope to get to it soon! It is Neverwhere.
Looking forward to you review!
