What’s In a Name 4 Wrap Up / What’s In a Name 5 Sign Up

2011 was the second year I participated in the What’s In a Name challenge hosted by Beth Fish Reads. I am happy to announce that I covered each of the five categories at least twice over (some by the skin of my teeth, but covered nonetheless). Here is how it played out this year:

Evil ~ Horns by Joe Hill / The White Devil by Justin Evans / Paul is Undead by Alan Goldsher
Travel/Movement ~  Cleaning Nabokov’s House by Leslie Daniels / Trespass by Rose Tremain
Jewelry/Gem ~ Diamond Ruby by Joseph Wallace / Diamonds are Forever by Ian Fleming
Life Stage ~ Live and Let Die by Ian Fleming / The Marriage Plot by Jeffrey Eugenides
Number ~ A Thousand Rooms of Dream and Fear by Atiq Rahimi / 22 Britannia Road by Amanda Hodgkinson
Size ~ Snakewoman of Little Egypt by Robert Hellenga / Skinny by Diana Spechler

In 2012, I hope to be a more active participant in the challenge. Here are the categories:

a topographical feature (land formation)
something you’d see in the sky
a creepy crawly
a type of house
something you’d carry in your pocket, purse, or backpack
something you’d find on a calendar

I don’t necessarily have anything in mind that would meet any of those criteria, but I am going to have fun trying. If you’d like to participate along with the me, here’s the sign up page.

Way to go! I didn’t get a book with evil read so I didn’t finish this one.
