Sneak-A-Read, A Thankfully Reading Weekend Challenge

ThankfullyReading

For the first time my parents are spending the Thanksgiving holidays with me in Virginia. As much as I enjoyed making reading the focus of my Thanksgiving weekend last year, I know I’m not going to get much reading in this time around. I still wanted to be Jenn’s partner in crime when she asked. I’m hoping to cheer on those who can get a lot of reading done and I’m here this morning offering a little challenge for those who need a little break and the opportunity to win a prize.

Sneak-A-Read Challenge

Since I am going to be busy this weekend with my family, I am going to be snatching reading time here and there. My challenge to you is to list three to five books that make perfect choices when you’re reading on the run. Let us know briefly why the books you’ve selected would work well. Once your challenge is posted, simply add your link below.

Easy peasy, right? So what’s the prize?

The Prize

Three participants will be chosen at random to win eReader covers crocheted by me. I will email the winners to let them know that they’ve won and will ask for their mailing address, the type and size of their eReaders, and their favorite colors. I’ll choose a yarn for the cover based on their responses.

You don’t have an eReader? No problem! When I send you the email notification that you’ve won, let me know. We’ll discuss other bookish crochet ideas.

I will be selecting the winners on Tuesday, December 3rd. Good luck and enjoy this little challenge brought to you by Jenn’s Bookshelves’ Thankfully Reading Weekend.

Books by Alexander McCall Smith are quick and pleasant reads. The series books are best if you read them in order as there are plot lines that carry though. Your can easily devour a couple of these books in a day. My favorite book series are:

Isabel Dalhousie (AKA The Sunday Philosophy Club)
        44 Scotland Street
The Number 1 Ladies Detective Agency

Good luck sneaking some reading in! That’s basically what I have been doing, too, but at least I am reading. I hardly have at all this year!
