Les Mis Begin!

The day has arrived. I’m about to begin the 1304 page journey that is Les Misérables. I can’t remember the last time I attempted to read a book this thick. I hope I’m up for this challenge. Since Les Mis loves company, feel free to join me. I don’t plan on reading this straight through. Instead I’ve broken the book into 6 sections to be read through August. You can see my schedule here.

If you’re officially joining me, fill out the form. I am planning on creating at least one challenge bookmark along the way. Of course the theme of the bookmark will be French. I’m hoping the story will inspire me. I’m asking for participant mailing addresses, but it’s not required to provide one.

Each month I’ll be posting a check in to help encourage us along the way. If you’re on Litsy, Twitter, or Instagram, use #LesMisLovesCompany. I’ll be using and following that hashtag along the way.

Here’s to the adventure!

I love a good chunkster!! I’d join you but I just finished Ulysses and to be honest, I gotta take a break.

My chunkster for last year was Atlas Shrugged and it proved to be pretty readable. I hope that’s the case for Les Mis.

I don’t blame you! Ulysses is a commitment! We should pick a chunkster for next year.

Oh, happy reading. It has been a few years since I’ve read the book. I will be attending the musical production on stage in the fall!
